PDF X is a popular Windows software that allows users to access and read documents in an eponymous format. Similar to Smallpdf, there is an option to convert popular text files by Word and Excel to PDFs.
Viewer and editor
It is a simple PDF viewer with which users can work on their projects and save documents in necessary formats. There are basic tools to add annotations, texts, bookmarks, thumbnails, digital signatures and other details. In addition, it is impossible to highlight necessary phrases, crop a selected area and even extract text to editable form.
There is an option to view PDFs both by mouse scrolling or preview. PDF X allows you to view your projects the way you like by adjusting position, scale and background. You can merge or split documents as well as extract pages for further editing or printing. This feature is not available in the free version.
Convertor
As mentioned before, the program provides options to convert popular text formats to PDFs and vice versa. This means that you are able to change your portable documents to DOCX, XSL and PPT to access them in Microsoft Office utilities. It is also possible to save your projects in PNG and JPG.
Please note that converting tools are not included in a free plan unlike viewer and editor. You need to purchase an annual or lifetime subscription to access all features of PDF X without any limitations.
