PhET is a program for Windows that gives you access to a wide range of research-based computer simulations for teaching and learning math, physics, chemistry, etc. These interactive models are game-like environments which emphasize the connections between real-world phenomena and the underlying science.
Visualize and observe
The desktop application provides you with a considerable number of simulations. For instance, the Circuit Construction Kit enables you to build circuits out of virtual components like batteries, wires, resistors, inductors, and capacitors. The simulation may be used to supplement experiments with real equipment.
Besides simulating phenomena that are observable via special laboratory machines or in the natural world, a lot of PhET projects allow you to explore expert models of events that are invisible. This means you have the ability to see electrons moving through the wires to visualize current flow, or view the microscopic behavior of molecules in a gas, for example.
Games and challenges
What is more, the utility offers a variety of games and challenges in order to improve motivation and make the experience more enjoyable. The Natural Selection module enables you to observe the phenomena of the same name and add mutations, natural predators, and food to keep a population of bunnies stable. If you want to generate virtual star systems, you may try another tool called AstroSynthesis.
