PictureGear is a Windows application for managing your photo collection. There are tools for organizing pictures into digital albums and adding captions to individual images. Moreover, a powerful graphics editor is provided. Supported file formats include TIF, JPG, PNG and BMP.
Media library
After starting the program users can navigate to the main folder that contains the photo collection. All compatible pictures are displayed in the form of customizable thumbnails for easier search. The list is sortable by name, size, file type, creation date and other metadata attributes. There is an option to view any image in fullscreen mode.
Please note that PictureGear is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. More modern solutions with similar functionality such as
PhotoDirector are available for download.
Editing tools
It is possible to rotate, resize, crop and flip individual photos. Additionally, you are able to apply a variety of visual filters to improve the brightness, color balance, contrast and gamma. There are instruments for edge sharpening as well.
