PowerDirector is a Windows utility for modifying video files. It contains several editing modes with custom menu layouts and workflows, depending on the type of project you want to work on. Please note that the free trial version of PowerDirector leaves watermarks on output videos.
How it works
Like in VSDC Free Video Editor, users can rearrange individual sections of the movie on the timeline. It is possible to utilize the storyboard view to quickly organize all clips and preview the results. The Express Project mode provides a way to produce a video with premade customizable templates.
There are instruments for working with 360 degree clips shot on action cameras like GoPro or DJI. Processing options like frame stabilization, fisheye correction, slow motion and color adjustment are available. The Theme Designer mode allows you to create slideshows with animated themes and personal photos.
AI tools
This software offers users several modern image processing options based on neural networks and artificial intelligence. For example, the AI Style Transfer module is intended for applying artistic style to the video. There is a variety of options inspired by famous painters or genres such as impressionism, watercolor, sketch and manga.
An option to automatically isolate objects or people in the clip is included. You can duplicate the selection, surround it with particles or erase altogether. Instruments for a quick sky replacement are provided as well.
