PPJoy is a Windows utility for breathing new life into old gamepads by translating their physical inputs into virtual joystick actions recognizable by any PC. It is possible to connect up to 16 controllers at the same time.
How it works
The application contains system drivers for virtual input devices. Compatible gamepads are automatically detected upon connection and displayed in the main window. There is support for multiple popular interfaces, including parallel ports, USB and even Bluetooth. This ensures broad compatibility with different device models.
Controller parameters
Like in Thrustmaster TARGET, users can fine tune their experience by remapping individual buttons and axes to different actions. It is possible to tailor the controls according to personal preferences and specific game requirements. Moreover, there is an option to save several profiles for different genres and quickly switch between them.
It is worth mentioning that input from some gamepads may be laggy and unstable due to emulation. You are able to adjust the default refresh rate to troubleshoot common technical issues.
