PsychoPy is a Windows utility for conducting various types of experiments in behavioral sciences. Like in Selenium, there is full support for the Python programming language.
Experiment creation
Users are instructed to start the program in the Builder mode to develop new projects. It is possible to add various kinds of stimuli such as images, video clips, sound effects, dots and textboxes to the experiment.
There are instruments for configuring response via the camera, gamepad, keyboard, microphone, mouse and other input devices. Advanced eye tracking options are available as well.
A collection of demo projects is provided. Moreover, there is an option to search for specific projects online and download them. You can use premade templates as a basis for creating custom experiments.
Parameters
The Preferences menu contains tools for modifying the default key bindings. Additionally, a checkbox for toggling debug mode is included. This program allows users to adjust network connection settings as well.
You can integrate various plugins to enhance basic functionality. There are flexible audio compression options.
