QCAD is a 2D design program equipped for drafting, technical drawing and schematic creation, available on Windows desktops and laptops. Perfect for working with layers, blocks and a wide variety of file formats.
Capabilities
There are tools for drawing basic entities such as lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, polylines, splines and text. Editing functions include trimming, extending, moving, copying, scaling, rotating and mirroring objects. Multi-entity editing is supported so users can apply attribute changes or layer moves across many objects at once. Similar to AutoCAD, undo and redo operations here cover multiple levels to allow safe experimentation.
Precision and module
Snapping features let you align entities by endpoints, centers, intersections, perpendicular or tangential points, aiding precision work. Measurement tools provide polygonal area, circumference, arc length and angle calculations. Zooming options are variative as well, you can view and navigate large drawings with ease. Units and dimension formats are adjustable as well.
An optional CAM module is integrated for nesting selected parts into sheets, managing toolpaths and preparing designs for CNC export. Moreover, build-in scripting and plug-in capabilities help you automate repetitive tasks.
