Rockmelt is a program for Windows that integrates social media and content discovery into one web browser. Users can connect to their accounts and manage online activities on a centralized dashboard.
Current situation
It is worth noting that this project was officially discounted by the developers in 2013, due to rising popularity of other analogs like Chrome and Firefox. The old versions are available on the third-party portals, however, the installation packages may contain suspicious components including viruses and trojans. As an alternative, users may try the above mentioned browsers that offer more advanced capabilities and features.
Two in one
There is built-in Facebook and Twitter integration, allowing you to stay connected without switching tabs. The app includes a sidebar where you can chat, check updates and post directly to social media. In other words, you are able to interact with your friends and colleagues while browsing information online.
It is possible to subscribe to favorite sites and enable notifications to see when new content is available. Alerts help you stay updated on the latest news and blog posts. On top of that, you can create bookmarks with important web pages and keep them right on top of your main interface, to maintain their accessibility, whether you are browsing or communicating.
