Sony Picture Utility is a Windows program for working with pictures shot on Sony cameras. Users are able to import photos to the library on the hard drive. There are powerful editing tools for cropping, resizing, rotating and enhancing source images. Similar to Photo Explosion, options for sharing media content on Facebook, Flickr and other social media platforms are available.
Import
After starting the application you can connect the camera to the computer via USB port or insert the memory card into the reader. The next step is to copy all new photos to the collection on the hard drive. There is an option to delete source images during the process to free up disk space.
Editing
Users are able to view the list of all available photos with customizable thumbnails. It is possible to correct the color gamma, reduce the red eye effect and tune overall brightness of every individual picture. Instruments for organizing images into albums for easier navigation are provided as well.
Advanced capabilities
This software allows you to quickly create slideshows with unique transitions and background music. The frame duration is adjustable. Additionally, there is an option to send photos to the printer directly from the app. Flexible page size and orientation settings are included.
