Spitfire Audio is a Windows software that provides access to a large online collection of free and paid audio samples. It is oriented toward professional composers and music producers. There are tools for managing personal and commercial licenses as well.
Library management
The main window contains the list of available sample libraries such as Amplified cello concert, Bass guitar, Autoharp, Classic synths, Electric piano and many other options. You can click the Download button to copy the files to the hard drive.
Supported digital audio workstation applications include Cubase, Logic Pro, Ableton, Fruity Loops, Bitwig Studio, Reason and Luna. Users are instructed to specify the path to the executable file for automatic sample integration.
Preferences
The Settings menu offers you tools for cleaning cached images and disable Cloudfront CDN servers. This functionality is helpful for troubleshooting various connection issues. A log file with detailed technical information is available as well.
Users can change the target location for the content. Moreover, it is possible to customize the default directories for new VST and AAX audio plugins.
