Stella Emulator is a Windows program for playing old Atari 2600 video games on a modern computer. Flexible video and audio parameters are available. Similar to Yuzu, there is support for several renderers like Direct3D and OpenGL.
Gameplay
After starting the software users can navigate to the required ROM file and start the game. It is possible to take screenshots at regular intervals. The target directory is customizable.
You are able to select the input device and remap control buttons. Additionally, there are tools for adjusting the sensitivity and linearity of the analog paddle. Several dead zone settings are included as well.
Video and audio configuration
This application lets users select the correct graphics renderer from the drop down menu. A checkbox for enabling interpolation is provided.
The fullscreen mode can be activated. There are instruments for stretching the image to fit the screen and for adapting the display refresh rate. You are able to correct the aspect ratio.
Users can tune the audio volume and choose the correct output device. The sample rate and buffer size are adjustable.
