Tahoma Font is a Windows TrueType typeface. It was the default font for Windows XP, Skype and many other software products. The letters are easy to read even at small sizes, which makes the typeface ideal for dialog boxes and menus. It is possible to modify individual characters with the help of Type font editor or another similar utility.
How to setup
After downloading the package you can extract the TTF items into the Fonts subfolder located in the main Windows directory. Alternatively, there is an option to open font files and click the Install button to integrate new typefaces into the operating system. All installed fonts are available for selection in Microsoft Word, Notepad and other text editors.
About the typeface
The Tahoma sans serif font family was designed by Matthew Carter for Microsoft Corporation in 1994. The main purpose of the typeface was to address the challenges of displaying small text blocks in menus and dialog boxes.
This font was officially integrated into Office 97 and became one of the most popular typefaces for creating all kinds of text documents and application interfaces.
