TuneAid is a Windows utility that allows users to move songs and videos from an iPod or iPhone to the desktop. This is helpful for solving the problem of synchronization with multiple copies of iTunes on separate computers.
Connection
After starting the software you can attach the mobile device via USB cable. All detected songs and video clips will be automatically displayed in the main window. It is possible to sort the list by title, artist name, album, genre and other attributes.
Please note that TuneAid is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available. There are other applications with similar functionality such as Appandora.
File transfer
Users are able to select several individual items or copy the entire media collection to the hard drive. The target location is customizable. It is recommended to transfer files directly to the iTunes library directory for automatic synchronization between several computers.
Any compatible media file can be previewed in the embedded player. There are buttons for adjusting the volume and enabling fullscreen mode.
