VP EYE is a Windows plugin for Yahoo Messenger that lets you instantly convert any paper document into a digital photo using a webcam. There are tools for enhancing the output picture quality by adjusting brightness, contrast and sharpness. Please note that VP EYE is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Document capture
Users can hold the source page in front of the webcam to capture its contents. It is possible to automatically eliminate unwanted shadows that may obscure text or other details. Additionally, an option to correct various image properties to receive clear and legible scans is provided.
There are other Yahoo Messenger addons such as Yahoo Messenger Monitor Sniffer.
Export and sharing
The plugin allows you to save resulting photos in several common formats, including JPG, PNG and BMP. Moreover, there are instruments for converting scanned pages to PDF files. Captured documents can be shared with any Yahoo Messenger contact or sent directly to the printer.
