WebCamMax is a Windows utility that lets users apply a wide variety of filters to webcam output. It is possible to add virtual frames to the image, distort the picture and add animations. Similar to Yawcam, instruments for capturing the video feed to a file are provided. Please note that the free version of WebCamMax contains limited functionality.
Main capabilities
After starting the program and activating the webcam you can preview the video in the main window. There is a massive collection of visual adjustments split into multiple categories such as accessories, animations, backgrounds, distortions, emotions, faces, filters, frames and scenes. Moreover, it is possible to access the list of recently applied effects.
Users are able to draw lines and arrows directly on the live feed. This feature is helpful for creating tutorials, online lessons and other educational materials. The color and size of the pen are adjustable.
Preferences
The Settings menu contains tools for changing the visual appearance of the interface. Several themes are available. Additionally, you can change the output resolution and frame rate.
There is a checkbox for enabling audio capture. Users are able to select the correct input device and tune the volume.
