webOS Quick Install is a Windows utility for integrating packages with WebOS apps into the internal memory of obsolete handheld computers manufactured by Palm and HP. There is support for the IPK and PATCH file formats. It is possible to view detailed technical information about the connected mobile device.
Usage instructions
After downloading the JAR archive you can open it in Java Runtime Environment. The next step is to drag and drop WebOS packages into the corresponding section of the main window. There are buttons for manually adding and deleting individual items. The list is sortable by name, size and file type.
The drop-down menu in the upper left corner allows users to select the correct mobile device. Supported models include HP Pre 3, Palm Pixi, HP TouchPad and several other portable computers based on WebOS.
About WebOS
This mobile operating system was originally developed by the Palm company. It is intended for use in handheld portable computers with touchscreens. Common applications like Calendar, Photos, Music, Notes, Videos and Email are installed by default. There are flexible notification and alert parameters. Additionally, the operating system can be controlled with multi touch gestures.
