WIDI Recognition System is a Windows program for generating MIDI files from audio tracks. Users are able to adjust pitch detection parameters and configure global autotuning. A large library of virtual MIDI musical instruments is provided.
Conversion process
After starting the application you can select the input file and change recognition settings. It is possible to customize the output by choosing different MIDI instruments like acoustic grand piano, harpsichord, xylophone and accordeon. Additionally, there are tools for automatic tonality determination. The tempo is adjustable as well.
It is important to note that the free demo version of WIDI Recognition System lets users save only the first ten seconds of the resulting track.
Like in Ludwig, you are able to manually tune individual notes in the generated MIDI sequence. The integrated equalizer is helpful for configuring separate audio frequencies.
Advanced capabilities
There is an option to add tapping sounds to the track. Users can change the effect volume and set a custom latency.
Instruments for removing or rearranging selected song fragments are provided. Moreover, you are able to insert single notes into the project by clicking on the virtual piano keyboard buttons.
