Windows Multimedia Extensions is an improved edition of the classic Windows 3.0 OS from Microsoft. There are instruments for opening audio and video files in the MMM format. Additionally, users can enable custom screensavers in the display properties.
How to install
It is important to mention that a specialized virtual machine or legacy hardware is necessary for setting up this operating system. You can download VMware Workstation or VirtualBox for this purpose.
The next step is to burn the included ISO image to an optical disc or import it into the virtualization program. Users are able to select the target destination and adjust several personal OS settings before proceeding with the installation.
Updated capabilities
This edition of Windows 3.0 allows you to play audio tracks and video clips in the MMM file format. There is support for a wide variety of optical CD drives as well.
A collection of unique screensavers is included in the package. Windows MME was the first operating system with this functionality.
