WSA is a Windows software for running mobile apps natively on the desktop computer. There is support for the Android and Windows 11 operating systems. It is important to note that WSA is still under development and currently available only for the participants of the Windows Insider program.
Description
The utility is built on top of the Windows Subsystem for Linux and utilizes a virtual environment to open Android apps. This means that mobile content works natively in Windows 11 without the need for an emulator. It is possible to install applications from the Amazon Appstore and run them just like any other piece of software on the computer.
Testing tools
App developers can use WSA to evaluate the changes in a project on a real device. It is recommended to download Android Studio for code debugging and validation purposes.
Additional capabilities
You are able to share data between the hard drive and a mobile application. The latest version of WSA supports drag and drop transfers for almost all popular file types.
Users can discuss the project, ask questions, collaborate with the community and provide feedback on the official GitHub page.
