XSplit Gamecaster is a Windows utility for streaming content online. It is oriented toward beginning and professional gamers. Tools for creating custom screen layouts with overlays, alerts and other graphical elements are provided.
Streaming settings
Users can add a personal webcam feed to the broadcast. There is an option to automatically detect when the game is launched and begin streaming. Supported online platforms include Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.
It is possible to adjust the video and audio quality parameters. You are able to change the bitrate, resolution, brightness, contrast and sound volume. Additionally, instruments for integrating a chat module into the stream are provided.
Please note that XSplit Gamecaster is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. It was replaced with XSplit Broadcaster.
Recording
The program lets users capture interesting gameplay moments to a separate video file. There are customizable keyboard shortcuts for starting, pausing and terminating the recording process.
