Yuzu is a program for Windows intended to serve as an emulator for the Nintendo Switch. Thanks to this intuitive solution, you are able to easily run video games released for the aforementioned console on your personal computer. It is necessary to mention the fact that the project was developed on the basis of Citra Emulator.
Setup
The utility does not require installation on a PC. This means you can simply unpack the downloaded archive and run the executable file. In order to ensure optimal performance, you need to have a 64-bit operating system, an AVX2 processor, and a OpenGL or Vulkan graphics card. You may download and install Vulcan Runtime Libraries to provide support for the latter technology. To use the emulator itself, you can use your own copies of games and corresponding updates. Their installation is performed by selecting Install Files to NAND item in the File menu.
Configuration
The emulator provides high performance and stability, allowing you to play games with optimal graphics and sound quality parameters. It features support for a wide range of joysticks, including original Nintendo Switch gamepads as well as third-party USB controllers.
In the settings menu, you are able to tweak graphics, audio and control options. For example, it is possible to change the resolution, window mode, texture files, as well as adjust volume and audio delay. The Local Wireless function is supported as well, which enables you to access and run local multiplayer.
