CameraFi is an Android application designed to connect external USB cameras to a smartphone. It is possible to take pictures, capture images, and record videos.
This software can be used in various fields, for example, to connect a microscope, endoscope, recorder, wearable or action camera, and so on to a smartphone. It is possible to convert HDMI, SDI, and CVBS to USB. The application supports various photo and video resolutions such as SD, HD, Full HD, and others, similar to Panasonic.
Audio recording is provided as well as support for UVC and UAC formats. There is an option to capture a static image as well as record a screen. This way, you can, for example, create gaming videos without installing additional hardware or software.
With this app, users may connect several USB cameras to their smartphones and freely switch between them. There is a function to preview the recorded video and captured image.
It is worth noting that the utility is compatible with almost any USB camera, however, your smartphone must support USB OTG. A list of tested devices can be found on the corresponding website. Please note that the application is currently outdated. The developers have stopped supporting it and released a new version called CameraFi2.
