MediaShare Wireless is an Android application that allows users to stream media files that have been saved to an SD card or a USB flash drive. This utility is a companion of the eponymous portable device from Verbatim.
How to use
The app creates its own wireless network and adds a USB port and digital card reader function to your Android tablet or smartphone. Thus, you can use SD memory cards and USB external storage devices as Wi-Fi accessible ones. There is an option to manage and share various media files.
Media
Users can stream content that has been saved to an SD card or a USB flash drive. The supported media types depend on the players installed on the user’s Android mobile device.
It is possible to view non-media files, for example, .txt, .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, using the Open in button. Please note that you can access the internet while still connected to your MediaShare system. Moreover, you may list saved files in the thumbnail or filename format.
There is a search window to look for content with the names or keywords. It is possible to view photo slideshows. The app offers to listen to audio tracks as background music via a built-in player, similar to DatPiff. In addition, users can attach saved files to e-mail or upload media to Facebook or other social networks.
Remark
It is worth noting that the application is outdated and does not perform the declared functions. The developers have stopped supporting it.
