SafeWA is an Android application that is relevant to business owners. If a company has to keep a contact register with customer details, then the utility will make this process easy and secure.
The app was developed by the Department of Health of Western Australia. It helps provide additional security during the pandemic. This tool allows operators to quickly and easily register visitors in the venue.
The principle of work is quite simple. Users download the utility, register and select a profile, for example, individual or business. Visitors scan the QR code of the venue. You automatically provide a name, contact number, email as well as date and time of entry.
Business owners receive a unique QR code corresponding to their establishment. There are no restrictions on the number of special barcodes that can be issued to visitors.
It is important to note that personal information is held for 28 days. Access to the database is restricted to WA Health to track COVID 19 contacts if necessary.
In a pandemic you can also use the WHO Academy developed by the World Health Organization. There are recommendations and tips on prevention.
