Paragon NTFS is a Mac OS utility that allows users to add support for reading and writing data from NTFS hard drives and USB Flash storage devices. The operating system from Apple is not compatible with that type of file system by default. Please note that the free trial version of Paragon NTFS will stop working 10 days after activation.
Overview
Like Tuxera NTFS, this software contains instruments for seamless drive mounting. You can configure user permissions to read and write files as well view detailed operation logs. Moreover, it is possible to display statistical information about all stored data, sort the contents of a drive by various attributes and toggle automatic mounting.
Installation
Users are instructed to restart the computer after setting up this program to apply all changes and integrate the driver. All NTFS drives will be automatically recognized by the system on next startup.
Interface
The main toolbar offers you buttons for unmounting the current device, verifying existing data and securely wiping the drive. Technical details like the volume type and file system are available as well. There are checkboxes for ignoring ownership during data transfers, saving the last access time, enabling Spotlight indexing and mounting the drive in read-only mode.
