Acrobat Distiller is a Windows program for transferring PostScript documents into standard PDF files. It is a part of the Adobe Acrobat office suite.
Conversion
Users can add multiple documents to the queue. The list is sortable by name, size and other attributes. Moreover, it is possible to configure advanced security parameters for working with encrypted files.
After adding all documents you are instructed to click the Start button to begin the operation. The progress bar at the center of the window indicates when the conversion is completed.
Folder watching
There are instruments for monitoring predefined directories. The software will automatically transform all detected PostScript files to the PDF format. Users can watch up to 100 locations at the same time.

This page description language was widely utilized in the electronic publishing industry. It is dynamically typed and concatenative. The latest version of PostScript was released in 1997. Currently, the format is deprecated and fully replaced by PDF.
