Dartfish is a Windows tool oriented toward professional coaches, players and sports analysts. It lets users review video clips and draw over them to highlight specific areas, angles or body positions for improved clarity. Please note that the free trial version of Dartfish will stop functioning 15 days after installation.
Video import
You can combine clips from various sources like cameras, mobile apps and online platforms into a coherent library. There is support for multiple common file formats like MP4, MOV and AVI. It is possible to create and organize custom projects, categorizing imported videos by sport, athlete, session or analysis goals.
Instruments for tagging key moments, movements or players for quick retrieval and reference are provided. Moreover, users are able to insert text annotations directly into the video frame.
Analysis and measurements
The utility lets you scrutinize individual situations with pinpoint accuracy using variable slow motion playback and frame by frame analysis. There are tools for enabling overlays to compare footage side by side or showcase different perspectives.
Similar to easy Sports Graphics, users can measure various distances, angles, speeds and timings. This functionality is helpful for obtaining quantitative data and conducting objective performance analysis.
