DeckTools is a Windows utility for designing outside decks from various materials. Instruments for estimating the cost of the project are provided as well. Please note that DeckTools is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Design process
After starting the software users can select one of the provided deck templates or create a new blank project. The next step is to select the required objects from the library and place them into the workspace. Like in Teowin, it is possible to resize and distort any element to better fit the layout. There are tools for applying various textures and colors to all surfaces.
You are able to analyze the finished project and automatically generate a list of materials. It includes everything from screws and nails to lumber and paint. Additionally, the program contains a 3D rendering engine for visualizing the deck before building it.
The main interface is highly customizable. Users can add, move and delete individual buttons for easier navigation.
Price estimation
There are instruments for calculating the approximate cost of the project by taking into account the size of the deck, materials, labor and other factors. Moreover, it is easy to share resulting estimates with clients or colleagues.
