SharpKeys is a Windows software for assigning keyboard keys to various actions. It contains instruments for changing the default mapping to better fit the needs of the user.
Remapping process
The main interface provides the list of changed keys and buttons for adding, editing and deleting individual entries. There is an option to erase all modifications and go back to the default configuration.
Similar to Logitech Options, you can remap any key on the keyboard. It is possible to manually select the required button from the included list or press it for automatic detection. The next step is to choose the new action.
It is necessary to click Write to Registry to integrate all modifications into the operating system. Please note that a system restart may be required to enable new functions.
Profiles
There are tools for saving multiple lists of modified keys. This functionality is helpful for quickly switching between several keyboard configurations.
Compatibility
The application supports all modern input devices from different manufacturers. However, some additional non standard keys for media playback control cannot be remapped using SharpKeys.
