Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a Windows application for restoring lost or damaged multimedia files from internal and external storage devices. Users are able to recover a wide range of image formats, including JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PNG, PSD, INDD, CR2, NEF and DNG.
Usage instructions
After starting the program you can view the list of detected storage devices and logical partitions. It is possible to select required volumes and perform a quick scan to identify recently erased items.
Like in Hetman File Repair, users are able to preview photos before recovering them. This functionality is helpful for locating specific pictures in a large archive. There is an option to fully analyze the partition structure sector by sector to find all recoverable files. The deep scan takes up much more time, but lets users detect and try to restore badly corrupted images.
It is important to mention that the free demo version of Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery does not allow you to recover found photos. A paid license is required to remove all restrictions.
Preferences
Users can turn off the preview function to decrease the scan time. The File List tab contains tools for adding or removing individual media types from the search. An option to update the software to the latest available version is included as well.
