Stream Deck is a Windows application that allows users to interact with hardware control panels manufactured by the Elgato company. These devices are oriented toward content creators and streamers.
Button configuration
Users can start the utility and connect the Stream Deck to the computer via USB port. Compatible hardware is identified automatically. There is support for the Mini and XL versions of the product as well as for additional pedals.
It is possible to assign custom actions to every button. Tasks like playing the audio, changing the brightness, starting the recording, opening a specific folder and many other options are available. This program lets you create multiple pages with buttons to have quick access to a large amount of shortcuts.
Various popular graphics and video editors like Adobe Premiere Elements and Photoshop are fully compatible with Stream Deck. Users can link complex action sequences to individual buttons to speed up and streamline the work.
Preferences
The Settings menu contains tools for changing the LED brightness and device physical orientation. There is an option to enable sleep mode after a predefined amount of idling. Moreover, you are able to create several profiles for different applications and quickly switch between them.
